Adevinta invests in

the future of marketplaces

Investing in startups in the marketplace industry

We take minority stakes in marketplace startups within our core verticals: real estate, cars/mobility and jobs/education. We look for companies with tangible traction, a potential to scale beyond their domestic market, and which we could support with more than financial resources. Our sweet spot
is Series A and B.

Data from our Fintech-enabled Marketplaces report, the second in a series of reports on marketplaces trends, shows that pairing financial services with online marketplaces creates outsized returns, that the lines are blurring between fintechs and marketplaces, and that there is still a lot of room for mutual growth.

The Future of Marketplaces report – the first in an upcoming series of reports compiled by on behalf of Adevinta Ventures and investors Speedinvest – shows that marketplace unicorns are now worth a combined total of $5 trillion and there are 30 marketplaces, globally, that are worth more than $20 billion.
