Job Description

To ensure that our platform can continue to operate successfully in the future and that we can make the right, data-driven decisions for the various revenue channels we use, we are seeking for a professional individual to join our team as a Team Lead Revenue Management (d/f/m).

About the team:

As a Team Lead Revenue Management (d/f/m), you will be part of a cross-functional team consisting of colleagues from Product Management, Analytics, Engineering, Sales and various Advertising experts. Together, you will be responsible for the success of our advertising business and regularly make important decisions about our various revenue channels while always keeping the perspective of our customers and users in mind.

Your role:

1. Lead a team of revenue operations & yield managers:

  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their day-to-day activities.
  • Foster a collaborative culture, encouraging teamwork, professional development, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and implement strategies to enhance individual and team performance

2. Oversee all advertising revenue streams:

  • Develop and implement revenue optimization strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor behavior, and customer preferences to determine optimal pricing models and maximize revenue potential.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing strategies in response to market dynamics, demand fluctuations, and competitive pressures.
  • Ensure data consistency along the entire supply chain to enable precise decisions making

3. Forecasting and demand analysis:

  • Utilize historical data, market research, and statistical modeling techniques to forecast demand, fill rates, and revenue trends.
  • Conduct regular analysis of revenue performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend proactive measures to enhance revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop accurate revenue forecasts and budgets, aligning them with business objectives.

4. Cross-Functional collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align revenue strategies with overall business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support sales initiatives, promotional campaigns, and new product launches.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of revenue management processes and systems.

Qualifications

What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in revenue management, pricing strategy, yield management or related roles, preferably in a leadership capacity.
  • Proficiency in revenue management systems, data analytics tools, and business intelligence software.
  • Proven track of people management 2+ years
  • Great leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards common goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, market trends, and emerging technologies in revenue management.
  • Business fluent English skills, German is a plus.
