Job Description

We’re Adevinta, a global leader in digital marketplaces. Our household name brands, including marktplaats in the Netherlands, Mobile.de in Germany and leboncoin in France, reach hundreds of millions of people every month across 16 countries.

We’re all about matchmaking, and our sites help people find whatever they’re looking for in their local communities – whether it’s a car, an apartment, a sofa or a new job. Every connection made or item found makes a difference by creating a world where people share more and waste less.

Our brands are supported by Central Teams based in our main Hub in Barcelona and our other global Hubs in Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin. Our local brands are founded on the connections between people, and as an international group we create networks of talented Adevintans who work together towards a common purpose across geographies and disciplines.

Within Trust and Transactions, the Serenity team plays a key role ranking Adenvinta as the  ‘most trusted’ worldwide marketplaces by building the global fraud detection and moderation component that will cater to marketplaces we’re operating globally. Serenity is serving 14 marketplaces in 6 countries and is utilising the latest machine learning techniques to provide a safer experience for our daily 12 million customers by moderating hundreds of millions of events every day.

  • Building and maintaining a state-of-the-art scalable system within an international team counting seven nationalities.

  • Operating and maintaining our existing infrastructure (1300 Kubernetes pods, EC2, large RDS DB, large Elasticsearch clusters, …).
  • Ensuring that our CI/CD gives the best possible developer experience.
  • Continuously monitoring the health and quality of our systems and ensuring they’re stable and secure.
  • Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible.
  • Constantly improving our working process and communicating best practices.
  • Helping design the next generation service as a platform.
