Job Description

The team:
You will be joining our Consumer Business in a cross-functional team and work together with a variety of partners from Analytics, Product & Tech, Data Warehouse and Business who strive to make the online buying processes for our users a successful and convenient experience. Beside your role in the cross-functional team, you will be part of the mobile.de Business Insights team and work together with the other analytics talents on functional overarching topics such as customer success measurement.

What you’ll do:
Within this new cross-functional and consumer focused product team you will generate insights out of data and collaboratively develop new ideas, objectively evaluate them and recommend impactful next steps. Being the team’s data evangelist, you will:

  • Perform analytical deep-dives to analyze problems and opportunities
  • Inform future experimentation design and roadmaps by performing exploratory analysis to understand user behavior and derive insights
  • Together with the product manager you design experiments, analyse & interpret the results and communicate them to your stakeholders
  • Extract meaningful insights through analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional customer behavior data sets
  • Identify key trends and build dashboards to enable business partners to track progress of their initiatives

Simultaneously you belong to a highly skilled and agile analytics team within mobile.de and across different eBay Classifieds businesses around the world, sharing knowledge and developing shared standards and solutions around analysis, measurement and reporting.


Who you are:

  • You have a 1-5 years track record (or equivalent) in using data to facilitate product and business decisions. You have:
  • Proven track record of being able to work independently and proactively engage with business partners with minimal direction
  • Very good knowledge of different analytical methods, performance measurement, business reporting, forecasting and a/b testing expertise
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and ability to switch between micro and macro level
  • Strong communication skills to share complex insights in a clear and simple language
  • Good understanding of web tracking technologies (preferably Google Analytics)
  • Proficiency in data querying (SQL or NonSQL-Databases)
  • Experience in self-service and reporting solutions (Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker) or hands on experience with one scripting language (R, Python, Javascript, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, German is a plus
