The Panda team aims to improve the performance of Classified Ads across all user types, verticals, and Adevinta marketplaces.
The main objectives are:

What you will do :Â
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work on a variety of projects, ranging from long-term projects, such as building tools around Kafka, to occasional reinforcement of teams on hot topics. You’ll have the opportunity to use your voice in the backend decision-making. Your coding skills will make a valuable contribution.
You will be part of a collaborative, informal, international, and playful working environment with self-organized, multi-disciplinary agile/lean teams
You will be working with modern technologies such as Golang, Apache Kafka, ScyllaDB, and more in a fast-evolving microservices architecture
You will keep up with the latest and greatest developments in distributed systems.
You will develop and maintain tools/frameworks to improve the overall developer experience, following high standards of quality, performance, resilience and scalability
Produce and maintain clear and efficient documentation
You will be an active contributor to the Communities of Practice

Who you are:Â
We are looking for a creative person who can help us raise the bar, challenge our current setup and improve our solution.
You are a developer with at least 5 years of experience who knows Golang and loves to build quality software.
You are not afraid of designing complex algorithms that need to process tens of millions of objects, and you are familiar with elementary statistical methods.
You are comfortable with event sourcing and Apache Kafka
You are familiar with REST APIs and microservices architecture
You have a good understanding of what TDD methodology and clean architecture are in software development
You have a good knowledge of the Git ecosystem and docker
At least some experience in managing CI/CD workflows, and you know what a mono repo architecture is
You have good verbal and written communication skills in English
You are comfortable with autonomy and independence as well as with working with teammates
