Job Description

We’re Adevinta, a global leader in digital marketplaces. Our household name brands, including marktplaats in the Netherlands, Mobile.de in Germany and leboncoin in France, reach hundreds of millions of people every month across 16 countries.

We’re all about matchmaking, and our sites help people find whatever they’re looking for in their local communities – whether it’s a car, an apartment, a sofa or a new job. Every connection made or item found makes a difference by creating a world where people share more and waste less.

Our brands are supported by Central Teams based in our main Hub in Barcelona and our other global Hubs in Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin. Our local brands are founded on the connections between people, and as an international group we create networks of talented Adevintans who work together towards a common purpose across geographies and disciplines.

Our Cognition team, based in Paris, is a multidisciplinary team of 7 members with data scientists, data engineers and backend developers. The team owns over a dozen state of the art machine learning solutions, like the car/license plate recognition service, that currently provide tens of millions of predictions to our marketplaces daily.

The team is part of the Machine Learning Services Area, which is composed of three other teams who work together to make machine learning easy and impactful for all of Adevinta.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the team. As a Product Manager you will contribute to define the current and future product portfolio, together with the team and the marketplaces.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Provide the context and purpose of product development to the team. Help them understand the business and users’ needs, as well as the impact we’ll deliver.
  • Continuously identify, measure and track the performance of our products and business impact with the support of data analysis.
  • Develop the strategy of the team, its vision, outcome roadmap, economic viability and market fitness.
  • Own the product development backlog in coordination with the team.
  • Be an advocate for the Machine Learning Services area especially with business stakeholders to ensure good collaboration and that we’re delivering as a team.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the product team to ensure there’s a cohesive experience across products and to maximise our potential and impact.

Company Description

  • Technical background, including an understanding of machine learning techniques and what this means for product development. Experience in this field is a plus.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills. You’re used to collaborating in big and complex environments. You’re empathetic, diligent and organised.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving aptitude combined with brilliant communication skills.
  • Experience in developing products with a strong user adoption is a bonus. You  understand the challenges involved and you’re able to work autonomously.

What you’ll get from us
