Manager Financial Controller France

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller for France: a France-based permanent position, reporting to the Sr. Finance Controller, with solid accounting skills (IFRS and Spanish GAAP) and outstanding analytical and communication skills. He/she will actively drive the roll out and hone processes and relationships with Adevinta controlling, FP&A, legal and program teams, BPO teams as well as other external stakeholders (external audits, etc.).  Self-starter and hard worker, at ease with SAP S4 HANA, who can perform in a rapidly changing industry, the Financial Controller will ideally have at least 3-5 years of experience in the digital marketplace industry in France.

• Drive and roll out/honing of processes and relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, incl. Adevinta CFOs and other financial teams, legal, R2R and P2P supporting teams, incl. BPO, OTC implementation team, tax teams, etc. 

• Supervise implementation of accounting principles, aligned with group policies, as well as procedures, incl. relevant posting records 

• Delivery of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closings by working closely with all internal and external Financial Controllers and Analysts 
  • EPM / Onestream and SAP S4 HANA reporting 
  • Revenue controlling & accounting for relevant countries & centrally managed revenue streams
  • Trial Balance review and flux analysis
  • Coordinate Allocations and cross charges
  • Project accounting
  • Payroll coordination and expense report coordination

• Delivery of expense and investment controlling & accounting reporting of relevant countries. These include but are not limited to marketing expenses, cost of sales, sales discounts, sales bonuses, labor costs and capitalization
  • Coordinate local statutory audits in various countries
  • Work on integrating new businesses, new revenue streams and the new billing system

• Liaise with the Company’s legal & tax advisors a.o. reviewing or submitting tax declarations and required forms with the authorities, or other locally required reporting and submissions
• Control monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documents
• Liaise & report to local authorities on local required reporting and submissions.

• You have earned a bachelor or master’s degree in the areas of Controlling or Finance & Accounting
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an accounting and/or controlling role, preferably in an international global environment
• Extended experience in working with accounting software (SAP S4 preferred);
• Excellent accounting skills. Knowledge of IFRS (specially lease accounting) is a big plus
• Strong analytical (excel) skills and an affinity with numbers
• Able to manage global stakeholders in a global matrix organization
• Self starter who can manage complexity 
• Able to work in a structured way in an agile environment
• Strong team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Eager to continuously improve and implement changes
• Eager to take on responsibilities and learn new tasks. Ability to work independently
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
