Our Cognition team, based in Paris, is a multidisciplinary team of seven members with data scientists, data engineers and backend developers. The team owns over a dozen state-of-the art machine learning-based solutions, like the car/license plate recognition service, that provides tens of millions of predictions to our marketplaces daily. The team is part of the Machine Learning Services Area, which is composed of three other teams who work together to make machine learning easy and impactful for all of Adevinta

Job Description

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a machine learning engineer to join the team and contribute to automate and bring to production our deep learning solutions.

You will:

  • Build data and machine learning model pipelines and manage infrastructure

  • Research and implement best practises to improve the existing machine learning infrastructure

  • Research and implement appropriate machine learning algorithms, tools, library and framework

  • Study and transform data science prototypes

  • Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results

  • Train and retrain models when necessary, run test and experiment

  • Implement the APIs used to serve model prediction


Who you are

  • Experience with delivering models from data exploration to production and the required technologies

  • Experience with software engineering and software design principles for machine learning

  • Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure

  • Ability to write code in Python or Java

  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience with modern software development and systems tools like Git, Travis or similar

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
