Job Description

We are seeking a professional individual to join our Trust and Safety team as a Frontend Engineer (d/f/m).

About the team:

The Trust and Safety team at mobile.de is responsible for providing users with a safe and trustworthy experience. We are a cross function team with talented engineers and data scientists which responsibilities include:
* Fraud prevention and detection.
* Users' validation and verification.
* Customers ratings and reviews.
* Price predictions.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Contribute, build, iterate and manage our web application.
  • Ensure that the code follows the latest design standards and good practices.
  • Push forward our testing strategy including unit and UI tests.
  • Collaborate with backend, Android, iOS and product team members over product features.
  • Keep legacy in check while being pragmatic about solutions.
  • Research and prototype new solutions to difficult problems.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvements.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years+ experience as a frontend developer
  • Passion for clean code and an eye for simplicity and pragmatism
  • Excellent programming skills in modern JavaScript (ECMAScript), TypeScript, JSX, HTML 5 and CSS 3.
  • Strong Knowledge around frontend tools and frameworks (Redux, React.js, Webpack, Node.js, Next.js, jQuery, Storybook, monorepo)
  • Experience in manual testing and test automation (e.g. Jest, Cypress, testing-library)
  • Experience with tracking tools (Google Analytics) and A/B testing (Optimizely)
  • Get up to speed with new systems and concepts easily
  • Believer in team work
  • Experience with Continuous Delivery, Jenkins, Git, and npm
  • Effective oral and written English communication skills.
  • Nice to have: experience with Java and JSP
