Engineering Manager Team Serenity – f/m/x

The team's mission :

Our Serenity team provides a common platform and tools across our marketplaces to review all types of user-generated content to ensure it is of high quality and non-fraudulent.

Millions of events pass through our system and are reviewed automatically by services and manually by local moderation teams !

What you'll do :

• Manage the squad dedicated to design, build and run the “Automatic moderation” features of Serenity platform.

• Work with the product team, tech leads and other Serenity Engineering Managers on building a strong shared technological and domain expertise to provide value to Adevinta’s marketplaces.

• Empower and mentor team members to grow, improve their craft and deliver high-quality products.

• Ensure clarity around priorities and goals settings for the entire team.

• Help enforce and improve our software engineering practices, processes and tools.

• Team up with the Product Leader on product matters

• Foster a feedback culture for a psychologically safe environment.

• Education in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).

• Good written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills. 

• Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems, being curious and adaptable.

• Experience growing and managing teams, better if you have experience managing multiple teams.

• Good foundations on Agile methodologies.

• Strong tech foundations (Software Engineering, Ops / DevOps, Cloud / Distributed Systems)

• Experience and a strong interest in modern development tools and practices.

• Technical and business level English is a must
