Job Description

The Finance Transformation Director is responsible for leading the programme of change, working closely with the Executive team, to successfully deliver the strategic benefits. They will be responsible for day-to-day leadership of the Finance transformation programme(s), and impacting multiple global locations (NA, Europe, Middle East, Asia). They support the ongoing refinement of the business strategy, providing challenge and advice on implementation approaches and options.

  • Lead the transformation programme to deliver the benefits of the business strategy
  • Provide direction to Programme Managers and project teams to enable timely delivery against agreed milestones
  • Identify finance systems most suitable for new organisation and develop appropriate implementation strategy
  • Design and manage programme governance to achieve coherent decision-making, effective management of programme risks
  • Oversee the preparation, review and reporting of project progress against: (i) agreed milestones; and (ii) achievement of benefits against strategy-driven targets; providing timely reporting
  • Ensure the development of effective communication plans that addresses all key stakeholders
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of the business transition plan to achieve future state stability, whilst minimising risk to current operations and commercial objectives
  • Identify and call out emerging risks and potential roadblocks to successful implementation early
  • Promote new thinking, creative solutions and ways of working to address issues and mitigate risks
  • Review strategic direction at regular intervals and proposes course-correcting actions where appropriate

Qualifications

  • Significant finance experience 
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) qualified accountant 
  • Experience working with a large, global finance team or professional services firm
  • Proven experience in finance systems implementation and integration
  • Extensive knowledge and experience developing business cases, programme plans, managing large-scale programme budgets and implementation strategies
  • Proven track record dealing with outsourcing arrangements, third party and/or vendor management
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and OneStream capabilities
  • •Operations background in a process driven role with exposure to centralised finance processes
  • Proven finance systems transformation / process improvement experience
  • Specific industry knowledge in technology & online business retail
  • Proven success in influencing strategic business decisions & driving significant improvements to business performance
  • Excellent team leadership and communication skills with the ability to challenge & collaborate
  • Strong relationship management skills with ability to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders.
