International Generalists

Would you benefit from experiencing how different business functions work? Are you ambitious and keen to develop your career in a fast-moving, international organisation? Then maybe our International Generalist programme is right for you!

Who is this programme for?

The programme is designed for recent graduates who would like to experience different roles within Adevinta before deciding where they’d like to focus your career.
We’ll offer you a two year fixed-term contract with a full-time schedule. You’ll rotate between marketplaces and positions within the company every six-nine months depending on business needs. Our Senior Manager of Early Careers will work closely with the business to decide the rotations and make “perfect matches”.
Who are you?

  • You’re motivated and have a genuine interest in Adevinta and our purpose
  • You have a learning mindset and treat feedback as a gift!
  • You’re open to working with others in a diverse, international environment

  • More benefits like free breakfast and flexible benefits programme (transport, restaurant, etc.) depending on location

“Our first cohort of International Generalists have worked in areas such as Product Management, Programme Management, Marketing, Strategy and HR. There are plenty of opportunities to make an impact in each of your rotations and the international aspect means you’ll get to work in at least one of our marketplaces.”

Nikki Holloway, Senior Manager, Early Careers

Examples of rotations

Product Managers work alongside UX and technical engineers to identify common problems that can be solved with scalable technical solutions. In the Product rotation, you’d run part of a project with the help of experienced colleagues who will help you solve problems and develop your knowledge. This role doesn’t involve programming or design, but you’d need a keen interest in how these processes work.

Competitive Intelligence:

As a Competitive Intelligence Associate, you'd have the opportunity to lead strategic research assignments and generate competitive reports that will be shared across the organisation and used by senior management. As part of the strategic initiatives team, you’d also have the opportunity to support ongoing strategic assignments which will give you additional insight into Adevinta’s goals and challenges.

IT Project Manager:

As an IT Project Manager you’d help manage centrally-led IT initiatives by facilitating project planning and delivery, business analysis, testing and training support and a smooth handover to operations. This rotation sits within the BITS (Business Information and Technology Services) team and you’d help them provide seamlessly integrated services and guidance on new trends in productivity and business process automation.

Talent/Learning & Development:

As part of the Talent/L&D team, you’d support a number of strategic, high profile projects impacting the business at all levels. You’ll build a variety of skills that are transferable to other areas of the business, including creative and analytical skills, workshop facilitation, consultancy, human centered design, project management and presentation skills.

Talent Acquisition:

As part of the Talent Acquisition team you’ll help with strategic projects like building a global referral programme, improving the recruitment process, creating social media content and much more. You’ll build your project management and presentation skills and gain experience that’s transferable to other areas of the business like Marketing and Human Resources.

Comms & Engagement:

As a member of the Communications & People Engagement team you’ll help find stories from the business to share with other Adevintans, help manage our social media channels and collect and analyse employee feedback data. You’ll improve your creative skills and learn more about Adevinta and its teams.
